Unfortunately I don’t have pictures of all of the rooms in their before state. The pictures here were taken from a web page the realtor put up when the house was on the market, before we purchased it. There is no bathroom photo, probably because it was because it was really bad – dysfunctional, ugly, and as we later learned – completely unsafe. Below are some room pics with descriptions of what will be transforming in that particular zone.
remove carpet and wallpaper, seal off entry to kitchen, insert powder room where long hall is. Lay tile, change lighting fixtures. hem and haw about painting wood.
knock down brick wall, open to new family room, replace powder room, move staircase, create bay window (possibly with seating) on eastern wall, new cabinetry and appliances, new lighting.
The (new) Family Room
Tear down east (right) wall to adjoin with new kitchen creating a kitchen / living area, new flooring, paint, lighting.
The Master Bedroom
replace carpeting on second floor, new entry to bedroom, new walk-in closet, build ensuite bathroom, add new lighting.
The Living Room
Paint, drop chandelier over formal dining room (back area), hem and haw about whether or not to paint the wood.
